Weddings at Chateau Safflyn are a one of a kind experience for the special couple and their loved ones in the most romantic setting. The remote location and privacy of our estate guarantees that your event will be completely undisturbed and fully romantic.
We provide two choices for your occasion based completely on availability of our space:
Chateau Safflyn (The Mansion) featuring the Grand Ballroom
Designed specifically for Rostropovich to entertain his closest friends in an intimate setting, the Grand Ballroom is a masterpiece of light, acoustics and views of the property. Music and laughter are the main ingredients of banquets enjoyed in the Grand Ballroom with its view of the magnificent Valley below and the Adirondack Mountains across. Extending outside to a splendorous veranda, the circulating air cools the room in the daytime, while a huge hearth fireplace warms the room in the evenings. It's the perfect location for formal
events and intimate gatherings.
The Marquis (Lawn Tent) outside on the West Lawn
Outside the West Wing of Chateau Safflyn, you can enjoy a magnificent occasion under our 7,200 sq. ft. white Marquis Tent. While enjoying the refreshing ambiance, your guests can enjoy strolling through our private forest to the historic “Garden in the Woods”, where the families of three U.S. Presidents rest. After an elaborate indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, the party will be warmly escorted into the tent for a grand banquet. An evening of glorious pomp and elegance will be enjoyed by all.
We offer two unique packages for your convenience:
Gold Package
The Gold Package provides a full service experience complete with tables with linens, chairs, flowers, music, and staff. By careful design, this package has been created for the bride who intends to be heavily involved in every aspect of planning and coordinating her wedding. Our goal is to help you take advantage of the majesty of our
private estate and spectacular mansion with the World’s Greatest View.
Diamond Package
The Diamond Package includes everything you need to make your Ultimate Wedding fantasy come true. We provide a personal liaison who works with you from beginning to end. This personalized package is for the couple who want to make sure that every detail is planned perfectly and that their wedding is the dream they imagined.
We provide catering through third party vendors that we have vetted and approved to suit your needs based on the amenities you require. Bookings require an immediate deposit to hold your request and the balance must be paid in full six weeks before your event date. If your event is within an 8-week window, 100% deposit is required. Herkimer/Oneida County residents receive a resident discount.
