The Mansion
The Mansion offers 2 Master suites with their own fireplaces, formerly belonging to Mstislav Rostropovich and his wife Galina Vishnevskaya respectively; and 2 Guest suites, known as the Ambassador and Junior suites. The Master suites and Ambassador suite have their own private bathroom for your comfort. All suites provide the comfort of fine linens and luxuriously comfortable beds. Hair dryers, irons and ironing boards can be provided upon request.
With its warm and inviting fireplace and grand piano, the Ballroom offers a wonderful setting for both large affairs and intimate gatherings alike. Combined with the veranda and decks for outdoor enjoyment, the Ballroom is the perfect place for your next event or special occasion. For weddings and events we can also setup our Marquis tent outside on the lawn.
Built to fit Rostropovich's acoustic needs, this chateau contains a music production studio designed specifically to deliver precise sound. We also welcome both professional and student filmmakers to use the mansion for location shoots.
Nestled on the upper levels of the mansion you will find Rostropvich's private chapel and breathtaking overlook where he spent his time meditating in prayer. For those wanting a little discretion we can arrange intimate ceremonies of all religious beliefs in the Chapel.
